Co-op zombie shooter World War Z has debuted at the top of the UK Chart this week, knocking Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 off the top spot.
It solidifies a strong start for Saber Interactive’s new Xbox One, PS4, and PC game, which has already shifted more than one million copies. Impressively, it has managed to reach the top spot despite not being available in physical format on the PC in the UK; remember, Chart-Track only count physical copies sold, so World War Z’s position at the top of the pile has been earned by boxed copies sold for PS4 and Xbox One only. We’ve been playing World War Z ourselves here at BuffNerfRepeat, and while it is far from perfect and does have some technical issues, it’s tremendous fun with friends and is very reminiscent of Left 4 Dead. Keep an eye out for our review soon.
Elsewhere in the charts, FIFA 19 has held on to the second spot for the third week running as the football season heads for a dramatic conclusion, and last weeks crown-holder, The Division 2, has dropped down into third. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe holds firm yet again as it sits in fourth place, as Red Dead Redemption drops two places into fifth. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has also held on to its place from last week, sitting in sixth, while Yoshi’s Crafted World has dropped a couple of spots to seventh.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice seems to be suffering from a relatively fast fall from grace having released to much fanfare and going straight to the top of the charts just four weeks ago, slipping down in the charts once again into eighth. New release Snooker 19 has managed to debut in ninth position in the charts, probably helped by the fact that the World Snooker Championship started this past Saturday, and the ever-present New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe rounds out the top ten.
