The Joker comes to Mortal Kombat 11 on January 28th

NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for The Joker’s imminent arrival to Mortal Kombat 11, confirming that Batman’s arch nemesis will make his way to the game on Tuesday 28th January.

As you will expect if you’ve seen any of Mortal Kombat 11’s other character trailers, The Joker’s trailer is slick, violent, and at-times hilarious. Gotham’s most sadistic clown is shown attacking foes with his cane, knife, extendable boxing gloves, an explosive jack-in-the-box, and an ingenious Batman glove puppet, which comes complete with The Joker’s gruff impersonation of Christian Bale’s portrayal of the Dark Knight. The trailer also shows one of Joker’s fatalities, which involves a delightfully explosive birthday cake and a tommy gun. I’m going to guess that it’s called ‘Make A Wish!’. Check out the trailer below:

The Joker is being added to Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the games Kombat Pack, which has already seen Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Terminator T-800, and Sindel added to the game. The Joker’s addition will leave Spawn as the last character to be added as part of the pack, currently scheduled for release on Tuesday 17th March. You can buy the Kombat Pack for £32.49/$39.99. The Joker’s addition to Mortal Kombat 11 comes at a good time given that Todd Phillips’ fantastic Joker was just nominated for 11 awards at this years Oscars, including best picture, best director, and best actor for Joaquin Phoenix’s incredible performance.

The Joker becomes available in Mortal Kombat 11 on Tuesday 28th January 2020.
