Somebody has dropped a bollock and accidentally revealed the full roster of characters for Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack a few hours earlier than anticipated. A countdown video was published to YouTube earlier to get players psyched up for the reveal later on, but the thumbnail showed all of the characters that will be revealed. Facepalm.
Of course, somebody quickly took the video down, but nobody can act quicker than a gamer who spots an accidental leak, so you can see the thumbnail below:
As you can see, Shang Tsung and Nightwolf are both available now, Terminator T-800 is available on Tuesday 8th October, Sindel is available on Tuesday 26th November, Joker will be available on Tuesday 28th January, and Spawn will be available on Tuesday 17th March.
Of course, we already knew that Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn would all be coming to the game following the release of a trailer back in June, but this is the first official confirmation of Terminator T-800 and Joker. That same trailer did also hint at the addition of Terminator, and it also hinted at Ash from Evil Dead, so maybe he’ll be coming in the next Kombat Pack.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that the inclusion of both Terminator and Joker is designed to tie in to the upcoming movies Terminator: Dark Fate and Joker. Joker was previously included in NetherRealm’s DC universe based fighting game Injustice 2, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Mortal Kombat version of the character compares to that one. One thing’s for sure – it’s bound to be more violent!
