Super Mario Maker 2 has debuted at the top of the UK physical sales charts following its release last Friday.
Its another great result for Nintendo who continue their trend of releasing top notch exclusives, as Super Mario Maker 2 has received very strong reviews as well as claiming top spot with just a couple of days of sales. The result knocks last weeks chart-topper Crash Team Racing down a place into second, while another new release, F1 2019, only manages to debut in third place.
Fourth place is also occupied by a new release, namely the PS4 exclusive Yakuza spin-off Judgment, which has also received critical acclaim. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has climbed three places from eighth into fifth, while Red Dead Redemption drops a place into sixth. Rockstar’s other ever-present in the charts, Grand Theft Auto V, holds onto its seventh position from last week.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has had a mega week, jumping up twenty-six places into eighth, while Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night gained eight places in its second week as it jumps to ninth, spurred on by its Switch release last week. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate rounds out the top ten, gaining a place from last week to sneak its way in to the top of the charts.
Outside of the top 10, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has gained eleven places into eleventh, while Forza Horizon 4 and FIFA 19 suffer big drops, dropping from third to sixteenth and from second to twentieth respectively.
