The first expansion for Rage 2, titled Rise of the Ghosts, will launch on Thursday 26th September.
Bethesda announced the release date earlier today, which brings the expansion about a month behind schedule following the release of the games post-launch roadmap back in May, which advertised the expansion as arriving at some point in August.

As promised, Rise of the Ghosts will introduce the Ghosts faction into the world of Rage 2 following their appearance in the first game (hence the name of the expansion), and they’re bringing a new story and a “huge new region” called the Overgrown City with them. There’s also a new ability called Void which will allow players to suspend enemies in the air, and there’s also a new Feltrite Laser Launcher for players to get their hands on. Vehicle-wise, the expansion will introduce the Ghost Motorcycle to the game, which can only be found in the Overgrown City but can be brought back to players garage’s.
You’ll be able to buy the expansion for 1500 Rage Coins, which equates to $15, but anybody who bought the Deluxe Edition of the game will have instant access to it without having to spend a penny. If you want to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe version then you can do so for 2000 Rage Coins, which equates to $20, which will give you access to the Rise of the Ghosts expansion, the DOOM BFG weapon (drool), Wasteland Wizard Cheat Codes, Battle Standard, and the Progress Booster.
Rage 2’s Rise of the Ghosts expansion will launch on Thursday 26th September on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
