WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 are free to PS Plus members in August

Sony has announced the two games that will be free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in August, and this month its WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 that are under the spotlight.

WipEout Omega Collection brings together the previous two games in the series, WipEout 2048 and WipEout HD (along with the HD Fury expansion), and remasters them for the PS4. WipEout Omega Collection features a whopping 26 tracks and dozens of ships, and it also features online support for up to eight players who can compete for bragging rights at lightning pace. If you prefer to play your games through PSVR then you’ll be pleased to hear that the game features full support.

If you’re not a big fan of racing but you’re a massive fan of shooting Nazi’s then you’ll be glad to hear of Sniper Elite 4’s involvement in August’s free offerings. In Sniper Elite 4, you take on the role of a covert operative, heading behind enemy lines through “huge, varied environments” as you hunt for a “Nazi super weapon that puts all of Europe at risk”. You’ll have plenty of tools at your disposal for taking down Nazi’s but it’ll be your time with your trusty sniper rifle that you’ll find most enjoyable, and you can even play online in both four player co-op or competitive modes for up to twelve players.

Both games will be available to download from Tuesday 6th August until Thursday 5th September. Don’t forget that you can still download July’s free offerings, Detroit: Become Human and Horizon Chase Turbo, until Monday 5th August.
