Six more games are coming to the Xbox Game Pass in August

Microsoft has announced a batch of six titles that will be added to the Xbox Game Pass in the first couple of weeks of August, and there’s some great variety involved.

The first new addition is Ashes Cricket, which will be added to Xbox Game Pass for Console tomorrow (Thursday 1st August) to nicely coincide with the beginning of the Ashes series. Ashes Cricket is coming up for two years old now but it was warmly received when it came out and is perfectly timed for any players who are watching the Ashes and getting in the mood to play some cricket. The much-loved board game Pandemic will also be available on August 1st, launching for the Xbox One directly on to the Game Pass. PC players aren’t left out of the first-day-of-August-celebrations, as fantastic vertically-scrolling roguelike Downwell will be added to the Xbox Game Pass for PC on the same day.

A week later on Thursday 8th August, 2015’s Jackbox Party Pack 2 will be added to the Xbox Game Pass for Console. The party game contains Fibbage 2, Quiplash XL, Earwax, Bidiots, and Bomb Corp, all of which are playable by up to eight players and are perfect for a laugh with your mates. Xbox Game Pass for PC is getting its own board game adaptation on Thursday 8th August, when Space Hulk Tactics becomes available to PC subscribers.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the fantastic roguelike card game Slay the Spire will be added to both Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass for PC on Wednesday 14th August, allowing subscribers across both platforms to try their hand at building their own unique deck. Slay the Spire is definitely a game that I would recommend you check out if you subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass, but that’s mainly because BuffNerfRepeat’s own Glen would kill me if I didn’t.

You can subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass for Console for £7.99 a month, the Xbox Game Pass for PC for £3.99 a month, or you can subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for £10.99 a month. Don’t forget that you can currently get your first month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just £1.
