Titanfall 2 and Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame are December’s free offerings for PlayStation Plus subscribers, Sony has announced.
Releasing in October 2016, Titanfall 2 builds on the brilliant multiplayer portion of the original game and adds a tremendous single-player campaign to go with it, righting one of the wrongs from the first entry. It picked up critical acclaim when it launched but under-performed commercially, having released right in between the releases of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, a release window which drastically reduced its chances of success. That commercial failure meant that the multiplayer died pretty quickly, but it is an absolute must-play even if you only play the single-player, and let’s hope that the fact that it’s available for free can repopulate the multiplayer a little. It’s great and you need to play it, so download it, it’s free!
The second free game, Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame, is a bike racing game (obviously) which features loads of official bikes, tracks, and riders, and features the ability to customize bikes and riders and create your own tracks using the Track Editor. Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame launched back in 2018 and it’s, well, it’s okay I guess.
Both of these free games will be available to download for the grand total of bugger all from Tuesday 3rd December until Monday 6th January. Don’t forget that you can still download November’s freebies, Nioh and Outlast 2, until Monday 2nd December.
