December’s Games with Gold announced

December is about to begin and that means that it’s time to announce some more freebies. Microsoft has announced the titles which it will offer out for free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers over the festive period, and it would appear that they’re being a bit stingy over the holidays. Bloody grinches.

First up we have Insane Robots, a card battler which features intense one-on-one battles and is sure to have players feeling completely underwhelmed. If you’re even bothered about this in the slightest (it’s actually decent, by all accounts) then you’ll be able to download Insane Robots from Sunday 1st December until Tuesday 31st December on Xbox One. If that doesn’t float your boat then Xbox One players will also be able to download 2018’s Jurassic World Evolution between Monday 16th December and Wednesday 15th January – the dino-based management sim is pretty average, but it may be worth checking out for free if you’re a fan of the genre.

On the Xbox 360 side of things, movie-tie-in-platformer Toy Story 3 will be available to download from Sunday 1st December until Sunday 15th December (again, pretty average, but good for the kiddies), while Castlevania: Lords of Shadows – Mirror of Fate HD, which is an upgraded version of a Nintendo 3DS title, will also be available to download from Monday 16th December until Tuesday 31st December. Both of these titles are also available to play on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.

It’s not the greatest month by any stretch, as the YouTube comments on that trailer above will show you.

Don’t forget that a number of November’s Games with Gold are still available to download. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter and Joy Ride Turbo are still available until Saturday 30th November, while The Final Station is available until Sunday 15th December.
