Red Dead Redemption 2 will be arriving on Steam next week

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be dropping on Steam next week (Thursday 5th December) almost a full month after it first released on PC via three other digital marketplaces, which included Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming, and the Humble Store.

You can’t yet find Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam as the page isn’t live yet, but it will most definitely launch as a full price game. You will also most likely still need the Rockstar Launcher too to actually launch the game as you do with the other platforms.

So far, the opinions on the PC version of RDR2 haven’t been great; it’s been plagued with frame rate issues, freezing, and a cumbersome installation and launching process. A few patches have ironed out a few issues but things are still far from perfect. The console version on the other hand was one of the highest praised and rated games of this generation, with our very own Glen saying in his review:

“What we got is not only one of the most authentic and best looking games of all time, but a game worthy of being listed amongst the greatest computer games ever developed.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is, quite simply, a masterpiece.”
