Super Mario Maker 2 has held on to the top spot in the UK physical sales charts following its debut there last week.
Non-movers are very much the order of the day in the top three spots this week, with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and F1 2019 keeping up their strong sales performance and maintaining second and third place respectively. Racing games in general are obviously flavour of the month at the minute, as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has gained a place from last week to climb into fourth place in the charts.
It’s a strong week for Nintendo in general, as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has climbed five places from last week to claim fifth place in the charts. Grand Theft Auto V takes sixth place, up one place from last week, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey follows it up a place into seventh to maintain its place in the top 10 after its twenty-six place jump back into the top spots last week.
Red Dead Redemption 2 takes a two place drop as a result of GTA V and Assassin Creed’s jump and has to settle for eighth in the charts, while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild rounds out a great week for Nintendo as it claims ninth in the charts having finished one place outside the top ten last week. Mortal Kombat 11 takes the final spot in the top ten, jumping up fourteen spots from last week.
Outside of the top 10 there are big climbs for FIFA 19 (climbing 9 places into 11th), Minecraft (climbing 9 places into 13th), and Rage 2 (climbing 17 places into 15th). Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the big loser this week, dropping a whopping twenty-five places into 34th.
