Stardew Valley’s multiplayer update will launch on Nintendo Switch this week

The Stardew Valley multiplayer update—which launched on PC a few months back—is finally making it’s console debut this week when it hits the Nintendo Switch on December 12th.

The news came by way of the latest blog post from the games developer ConcernedApe. There’s still no release date for the update on the PS4 or Xbox One versions of the game, although ConcernedApe has said that bringing the update to those platforms is now the “top priority”.

Stardew Valley’s multiplayer mode allows up to four players to work together to take their farm from an overgrown mess to an efficient money machine, gathering resources and helping out townsfolk along the way. The host player gets to live in the farmhouse, while each other player gets their own cabin on the farm. We’re big fans of Stardew Valley’s multiplayer mode, and you can check out our Let’s Play series over on YouTube where me and Retro do our best to create a great farm while Gunna does his best to cock it up. You can find the first episode below.

As you can probably tell from the notes about me at the bottom of my articles, I’m a massive fan of Stardew Valley. It’s a game full of endless charm that gives you a constant drive to earn more money, gather more materials and improve your farm. If you haven’t tried it yet then I highly recommend you give it a try, the term “just one more day” will become a common part of your vocabulary.
