Just yesterday, we brought you the news that an issue regarding malicious text messages crashing PS4 consoles had been fixed, but now it seems that Sony has been having further issues with the PlayStation Network, with issues across all types of services leaving players unable to connect to games, access social features or account management. Sony acknowledged these issues over on Twitter:
We’re aware that some users are experiencing issues logging into PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate: https://t.co/AHRZfHtRvq

Over on the official status page, Sony said: “Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.” It would appear that those engineers have earned their pay-cheque, as all of the issues appear to have been resolved as of this morning.
It’s not great PR for Sony to have had two big issues with their service in such a short space of time though, even if they did try to simply brush off the issues with messages crashing consoles, saying “it wasn’t bricking consoles, just sending them into a crash loop that can be quickly fixed in under 5 minutes.” Nothing to worry about then.
