Forza Horizon finally gets a route creator

It’s only taken four games, but Forza Horizon is finally getting a much-requested route creator when the new Forza Horizon 4 update goes live on Thursday 25th September.

What this means, essentially, is that you’ll be able to create your own tracks. To do so, you’ll need to pull up to an existing race start-point, and then you simply drive your car around to paint the route; anywhere that your car can go, your track can go. Players will be able to place checkpoints and adjust their width, and if you cock something up you can always rewind to correct your mistake. The route creator will come as no surprise to players, having been announced pre-launch, but players will be desperate to get their hands on it. Check out some footage of it below:

Also in the update is a new Horizon Story. This new story, entitled “British Racing Green”, will have players involved in the filming of 10 episodes of a TV series about classic British cars such as Aston Martin’s, Mini’s and McLaren’s. Completing this story will earn you some juicy rewards, including a Bentley 8 Litre.

There are also a number of bug fixes and quality of life improvements, including the addition of a quit button in-between games of Team Adventure, which is sure to please our very own Ricky, who complained about the lack of such a feature in his Forza Horizon 4 review.
