Cyberpunk 2077 will release in April 2020, and Keanu Reeves is in it

CDProjekt Red’s highly-anticipated next game, Cyberpunk 2077, will release on Thursday 16th April 2020, it has been revealed.

The news was announced tonight during Xbox’s E3 2019 briefing, where a new cinematic trailer for the game was shown. The trailer shows a deal between two characters going south, leading to physicality and violence. The standout moment from the trailer came right at the end, however, with the reveal of a character that features Keanu Reeves’ voice and likeness. Just after the trailer revealed Keanu Reeves’ involvement in the game, he emerged onto the stage like an absolute rock star to discuss his involvement in the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the next game by CDProjekt Red, the legends behind the fantastic The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It’s a role-playing game set in a dystopian future that’s based on the classic pen-and-paper role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020. The official description for the game reads:

“In the most dangerous megacity of the future, the real you is not enough. Become V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant — the key to immortality. Customize your cyberware and skillset, and explore a vast city of the future obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. The choices you make will determine the story and shape the world around you.”

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love CDProjekt Red and I’m well and truly hyped for this one. Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on Thursday 16th April 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
