Apex Legends, the rapidly-growing battle royale game from Respawn Entertainment, has its first patch.
There’s nothing overly major to report, but the update does add in some new Valentines Day-themed cosmetics just in time for tomorrows day of love. To be more specific, the update adds a “Live Die Live” Banner Badge, which players can unlock by reviving a member of their squad between now and Tuesday 19th February, and there’s also a “Through the Heart” Longbow Epic DMR skin as well as a “Love of the Game” Pathfinder banner frame.
Other than that the update focuses on various bug fixes and stability improvements, including fixes to a couple of issues that were causing players to crash or get gray screens as well as issues of players falling through the map. There’s bad news for those who like to exploit glitches, as Respawn has fixed an exploit that was allowing players to duplicate items in their inventory.
Elsewhere, Arc Stars will now display a grenade warning indicator, and Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather ability now lasts for one second less than before.

PLAYSTATION PLUS PLAY PACK

Art updated for the Playstation Plus Play Pack to the Flatline skin and Banner Card and changed the names to Deep Blue. This will affect all players that already have been rewarded the skins as well.
We still have a lot of work to do and we hear those frustrated by disconnects and crashes and are working to improve stability and performance as well as provide more visibility for everyone.
