The Apex Legends Halloween event rumors were true – the Fight or Fright event will run from 15th October to 5th November and will feature a brand new game mode
Something wicked this way comes. ?

The new game mode is called Shadowfall, a 34 solo player drop into a night-time copy of the old Kings Canyon map. The rules have changed, however, as when you kill a player they come back to life as an undead zombie version of themselves. All of the undead then join a “Shadow Squad” to take out the remaining players, who will have to team up when only 10 players remain to try and escape the undead. The undead won’t play like normal characters. Instead of weapons and abilities, they will gain increased movement speed, powerful melee attacks, and unlimited respawns. They are undead, after all.
Also included with the Halloween update will be new challenges which will reward event-exclusive loot. This loot will be obtainable in an updated way from previous Apex events:
“We strive to give players choice in how they can obtain in-game cosmetics, so for this Event we’ve updated the ways players can unlock these premium Collection Event cosmetics.”
Basically, the event items will now be easier to obtain, as Event Packs will no longer reward duplicate items. Items from the new set of 24 items will also be available to purchase and craft individually. Two new legendary weapon skins will also be included in the free-to-obtain cosmetics. A bonus XP weekend will also be taking place from 25th to 28th October. Here, players can earn extra XP for winning or finishing in the top five places.
