Nintendo Switch Lite & Link’s Awakening Bundle £199 @ Currys PC World

Here’s a cracking launch day offer for anyone in the market for the new Nintendo Switch Lite.

Currently at Currys PC World, you can pick up a Nintendo Switch Lite bundled with the fantastic new remake, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, for the attractive price of £199.

Both the Switch Lite and Link’s Awakening launched today (September 20th) so it’s great to see Currys have bundled the two new releases together. Curry’s has the bundle listed at a £49.99 saving—that’s the separate selling price—and at the time of writing has all three Switch Lite colours available to choose from (Yellow, Turquoise, Grey).

Retailer GAME has also bundled together the Switch Lite and Zelda, but for £229, which is rather steep in comparison. In fact, I struggled to find another offer featuring the Switch Lite that even came close to this one, so rest assured you’re getting a great release day deal!

Standard delivery is also free from Currys PC World, which normally takes between 3-5 working days. For the impatient, next day delivery will get you gaming at the weekend but will also set you back an extra 4 quid.

Nintendo has described the Switch Lite as a “compact, lightweight console that’s dedicated to handheld play.” It removed some of the key features of the original Switch, most notably the TV support and detachable Joy-Con controllers. What’s left, however, is a smaller, lighter, and most importantly cheaper version of the machine which is sure to prove extremely popular for younger gamers and their parents.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening has so far received some fantastic reviews from critics and gamers alike. Currently, the game holds an impressive 88 metascore and a 9.2 userscore over at metacritic, with many praising how the game has managed to preserve the feel and charm of the original at the same time as updating it to the modern day standard.
