Last week we brought you the news that Red Dead Redemption 2 will finally be debuting on PC on Tuesday 5th November, and Rockstar said that the PC version would feature “a range of graphical and technical enhancements”. Now, Rockstar has used their latest blog post to detail exactly what those enhancements are.
According to the developer, the PC version of the game will feature “increased draw distances for better navigation; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.” Additionally, the game will also support HDR, 4K resolution, faster frame rates, multi-monitor configurations, and widescreen configurations. It’s going to look so pretty!
As well as the graphical enhancements, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also feature three new Bounty Hunter Missions, two new Gang Hideouts, two new Treasure Maps, a new mission, a number of new weapons, a number of new horses for story mode, and five new trinkets. These extras should hopefully make up for the long wait that PC players have had to endure to finally get their hands on Rockstar’s masterpiece.

Finally, Rockstar has also released the specifications that you’ll need to run Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, which the developer says has been designed to perform “on a wide range of machines”. Check them out below:
