Three more indie titles coming to the Xbox Game Pass on their day of release

Microsoft has held their first episode of ID@Xbox Game Pass, an informative stream about indie games that are coming to the Xbox Game Pass.

The stream announced that three upcoming indie titles, namely Killer Queen Black, Outer Wilds, and Blazing Chrome, will all launch on the Xbox Game Pass on their day of release. Killer Queen Black is an “intense team-based online action strategy platformer” from Liquid Bit that will see up to eight players doing battle, while Outer Wilds is an “open world mystery about a solar system trapped in an endless time loop” from Mobius Digital where players continually repeat the same 20-minute cycle, learning new details each time that help them progress. Both of those games are slated to release at some point this year. Blazing Chrome, meanwhile, is an old-school classic run-and-gun action game from JoyMasher that is currently described as “coming soon”.

The stream also confirmed that the already-confirmed indie titles Void Bastards (seriously, I love that name), Operencia: The Stolen Sun, Supermarket Shriek, The Good Life, and Afterparty will all be playable at PAX East, which takes place in Boston from Thursday 28th March until Sunday 31st March. There’s also an opportunity to win a custom-designed console based on one of these games, and Microsoft will be handing out custom pins too, assuring “pin enthusiasts” (who really do exist apparently) that they are hard enamel. All of these games will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass on the day of their release, and the stream also gave us a more in-depth look at Afterparty just to whet the appetite.
