The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening has debuted at the top of the UK physical sale chart. The Nintendo Switch exclusive remake has had an extremely successful launch, not just in terms of sales but also with fans of the series and critics alike.
Zelda: Link’s Awakening knocks the equally impressive Borderlands 3 from the top spot, with the latter slipping to No.2 in the chart on a day where it’s publisher 2K Games released their own impressive sale figures.
Elsewhere in the chart, another RPG new out this week is the Nintendo Switch version of popular JRPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The choice of release date is pretty questionable, and unsurprisingly it enters the charts at No.23. The PlayStation 4 remastered edition of the same game also enters the chart this week at No.26. The highest new entry this week barring Zelda is Triangle Studio’s Truck Driver, which just fails to break into the top 10, landing at No.11.
Making up the top 10 are some very familiar faces in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (3) and Grand Theft Auto V (7), while PES 2020 enjoys some chart success before the release of FIFA 20 on Friday.
