Warframe really is the game that keeps on giving, and for once I’m not just talking about amazing new content (although that’s coming very soon). This week, the free-to-play giant will celebrate its sixth birthday, and to celebrate the milestone players are being rewarded with some unique birthday skins.
The Warframe anniversary page boasts some impressive sixth-year statistics. For example, 783 billion enemies have been killed up to now by nearly 50 million registered Tenno (players), and 1.8 million Floofs have been earned. These stats alone could be cause to celebrate.
So celebrate we will! From Wednesday 27th March any player logging into Warframe will be treated to the new Liset Dex Skin and Excalibur Dex Noggle for free. Players can also earn previous Dex items by completing in special Anniversary Alerts. These Alerts will be available until Wednesday 10th April, so make sure you get playing soon. The full list of previous Dex items that can be earned is as follows:

- Dex Nouchali Syandana
- Dex Dakra
- Dex Sybaris
- Excalibur Dex Skin

It’s been an amazing journey for Warframe, transforming from a below-average third-person shooter to one of the best and most popular free-to-play games currently available. Most of that success comes from the sheer amount of content and updates that the game has received over its six-year lifespan. A hugely successful release on Nintendo Switch has also now turned Warframe into a portable title and opened the game up to even more players, with many being impressed with how well the game has been ported to the smaller screen.
The improvements show no sign of slowing down either, with several new additions currently in the works. Players can expect to see a graphical overhaul for the more open Plains of Eidolon, which amongst other things will include a new colour palette, whilst the New War update will be adding more quests to the main story before Railjack is introduced to the game later in the year, adding exciting space combat to the mix.
