The Division 2 is getting a private beta next month

Ubisoft has announced that a private beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will take place next month.

The beta will run from February 7th to February 10th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, giving players the opportunity to check out their new Washington D.C. setting. Check out the trailer for the beta below:

Not much else is known about this beta at this point, but if the beta for the original game is anything to go by then we’ll get a chance to play some of the low-level content and, hopefully, get a chance to venture into the Dark Zone. Ubisoft has said that they will release more details on what will be included in the beta as the date approaches. To play the beta all you have to do is preorder and you’ll be guaranteed a slot or, alternatively, you can register here and you will have a chance of joining in, but there are only a limited number of slots available through this route.

The Division 2 will follow on from the events of The Division, where a smallpox pandemic that spread through dollar bills on Black Friday ravaged society. The Division 2 will follow the titular group as they take to Washington D.C. to try and regain control of society in the face of lawlessness and instability, as well as rumours of a coup.

Don’t forget PC players, The Division 2 will not be available through Steam this year, following Ubisoft’s deal with Epic Games that will see the game launch on the Epic Game Store as well as Ubisoft’s own uPlay service.

We were big fans of The Division here at Buff Nerf Repeat and we can’t wait to see what The Division 2 brings when it releases on March 15th 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
