Developer Enhanced Games has today announced that it’s bringing Tetris Effect—the excellent rhythmic version of the classic block puzzle game Tetris—to the PC.
Check out the PC announcement trailer below:
Previously only available on PlayStation 4, Tetris Effect will be heading to PC via The Epic Games Store on Tuesday 23rd July.
Tetris Effect was a surprise hit when it released on the PlayStation 4 in 2018. The game received a very favourable reception from critics, gaining over 60 awards and nominations, and currently holds a metascore of 89 over at metacritic.
The PC version of the game has been dubbed as “the ultimate version” of the game by developer Enhanced.
“As the ultimate version of Tetris Effect, the PC version is capable of running at resolutions of 4K or more with an uncapped framerate (with Vsync disabled), and includes ultra-wide monitor support as well as other expanded game and graphical options not found in the console release for both 2D and VR play”
Just like with it’s PS4 version, Tetris Effect on PC has been designed with VR in mind. Both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive will have support for the game at launch.
Tetris Effect is currently available to pre-order at The Epic Game store for a special price of £25.59. By the looks of it, the price at release will be £31.99. The limited-time offer will also include all of the Tetris Effect digital goods for free. The goods include 10 Tetris Effect themed 4K desktop wall papers and an original soundtrack sampler with 7 tracks. This offer will last until two weeks after the game has launched, so be quick!
