Farming friends rejoice, the highly-anticipated multiplayer update for Stardew Valley will release on PC, Mac & Linux will release on August 1st, as confirmed in both a tweet and a YouTube video by developer ConcernedApe.

The multiplayer update will add the option for up to three friends to join in your farming journey, with each player able to have their own cabin and all players able to join in every other activity together. Players will also have the ability to craft a wedding ring to marry each other, awww.

Although there is currently no news on when the update will release on Xbox One, PS4 or Nintendo Switch, ConcernedApe did confirm that those ports of the update are underway already.

If you’re still yet to experience the joys of Stardew Valley and you’re constantly left thinking “how can a game about farming be fun?” then take the plunge and check it out. It’s a special game, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
