Marvel’s Iron Man VR has been delayed

Marvel’s Iron Man VR for PS4 has been delayed until Friday 15th May, developer Camouflaj has announced.

The developer announced the delay over on Twitter earlier today, confirming that they were delaying the game in order to “deliver our vision and meet the high expectations of our amazing community”. The game was originally slated for release in a little over a month on Friday 28th February, but players will now have to wait a further two and a half months to step into the shoes of Tony Stark.

Marvel’s Iron Man VR was first announced right at the beginning of the first ever episode of PlayStation’s State of Play livestream back in March 2019 and was originally planned for release later that year. It was later confirmed that the game wouldn’t make it out before the end of the year, and now it’s been pushed back again. Sigh. If you’re unfamiliar with Iron Man VR, here’s the game’s announcement trailer from that episode of State of Play:

Delaying games seems to be all the rage at the moment, with Iron Man VR being the latest in a long line of games to be delayed over the last few days. Just three days ago Square Enix delayed both Marvel’s Avengers and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and yesterday we got the crushing news that CD Projekt Red has delayed Cyberpunk 2077 until September.

Iron Man VR launches for PS4 on Friday 15th May.
