Kingdom Hearts 3 tops the UK Charts

Kingdom Hearts 3, the latest entry in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy/Disney lovechild series, has topped the UK Charts following its release last week.

That is, of course, only counting physical copies, as Chart-Track don’t count digital sales. It’s still great news for Square Enix though, who will be delighted to see their highly-anticipated game get the sales to match the largely positive reception that Kingdom Hearts 3 has received.

Because of Kingdom Hearts’ launch week success, the Resident Evil 2 remake drops down to second place in the chart, while Red Dead Redemption 2 keeps up it’s strong sales months after launch, sitting comfortably in third. Equally, FIFA 19 is still selling well almost six months after launch, even outperforming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, with both games sitting in fourth and fifth respectively.

It’s all about the Nintendo Switch from 6th down to 8th, with those spaces occupied by New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (in that order), and GTA 5 is incredibly still in the top 10, occupying ninth place. Spyro is still clinging on to a spot in the top 10, with Spyro Reignited Trilogy sitting in 10th place.
