Rockstar Games’ gaming behemoth Grand Theft Auto V has joined the Xbox Game Pass.
You may be thinking “so what? It’s six years old” but Grand Theft Auto V is still enormously successful, with its online component still heavily supported by Rockstar and maintaining a very healthy player base. In fact, the game still consistently maintains a place near the top of the UK charts, which shows just how well the game still performs. GTA Online reportedly achieved record player engagement across daily, weekly, and monthly active users back in July following the Diamond Casino & Resort update.

It’s a great opportunity for anybody who hasn’t played GTA V (where have you been?!?) to experience this gaming masterpiece without having to fork out anything on top of a Game Pass subscription. It’s also another strong acquisition for Microsoft’s subscription service which continues to bulk out its library of games with more tremendous additions. We’re massive fans of the Xbox Game Pass, so much so that we recently named it as our Service of the Year for the second year in a row in our End of Year Awards.
Grand Theft Auto V is available to play through the Xbox Game Pass right now. Don’t forget that new subscribers can still get three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just £1.
