Google Stadia’s 12 launch games have been announced

Google has announced the lineup of games which will launch with their soon to be released game streaming service ‘Google Stadia’. The streaming service is set to launch on Tuesday 19th November and will launch with just 12 games (listed below) with more to follow before the end of the year. The games currently confirmed for the 19th are as follows:

  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
  • Destiny 2
  • GYLT
  • Just Dance 2020
  • Kine
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Samurai Shodown
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
  • Thumper
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

All in all it’s a solid line-up of games which seems to cater for everyone. The two stand out games for me are Red Dead Redemption 2 and Destiny 2, although I also thought Assassin’s Creed Odyseey was great and our very own Chris is in love with Lara Croft, so he’ll be happy to see Rise of the Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the list.

As I mentioned earlier, Google has said there will be more games coming to the streaming platform before the year ends, and these will be:

  • Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle
  • Borderlands 3
  • Darksiders Genesis
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • Farming Simulator 19
  • Final Fantasy 15
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • Grid
  • Metro Exodus
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Again, it looks like another great line-up with Borderlands 3 being the standout game for me.

All in all it looks like Stadia, if it runs well, could be a serious contender and will most certainly help bring more people into the gaming community thanks to the small profile of the console (streaming stick) and the low cost of entry. We’ll bring you more news on Stadia when it launches next week.
