We’ve been playing Forza Horizon 4 since release and the first thing that we noticed is the near photorealistic graphics, they are amazing and Forza Horizon 4 is arguably the most beautiful game that’s ever been created; in our opinion it’s also one of the best racing games we’ve ever played (review will be live soon).
The game is set in the UK and more specifically Edinburgh, but how accurate is Playground Games version of the great Scottish city? Well, very accurate as it turns out – take a look at the screenshots below which were kindly provided by Playground Games environment artist Chris Trentham after his recent visit to Edinburgh (Forza images are on the right):
Cockburn Street. We made all of the buildings in Edinburgh in modular sections, with shopfronts of various heights so they would fit along steep roads like this one. #ForzaHorizon4 pic.twitter.com/uEgZoHlc1g

And one final shot from the Royal Mile again. As usual, real life on the left, game on the right. #ForzaHorizon4 pic.twitter.com/CY7XmEdGoQ

First stop, Bamburgh castle in Northumberland. Real life vs in-game. #ForzaHorizon4 pic.twitter.com/ghLkES09Hz

We looked at a lot of castles and chose Bamburgh because it has one of the most impressive silhouettes, particularly when viewed from the beach. And also sand dunes, which are great fun to drive on! #ForzaHorizon4 pic.twitter.com/WW7HV9oBrT
