Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled jumps back to the top of the UK charts

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has raced back into first place in the UK sales charts this week, benefiting from some handy promotion during Amazon’s Prime Day.

That means that Nintendo’s latest Switch exclusive, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, has to settle for second position in the charts, although it should be mentioned that CTR is able to pick up sales on three consoles while Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is reliant on Nintendo’s players alone. Crash’s revival and the debut of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 means that last weeks top spot holder, Super Mario Maker 2, drops a couple of places into third.

There are quite a few other Prime Day promoted titles in the top ten, including both FIFA 19 and Red Dead Redemption 2, who climb into fourth and fifth place from tenth and ninth last week respectively. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sits in sixth place this week, dropping two places from its fourth place finish last week.

A big winner this week is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which also has Prime Day to thank for its monstrous jump from 30th place last week into seventh this week. F1 2019 continues its post-release slump, dropping from third to eighth, while Marvel’s Spider-Man enjoys a tasty twelve place jump into ninth, most likely due to the recent release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Mortal Kombat 11 rounds out the top ten, dropping three places from last week.

Outside of the top ten there are big jumps for Forza Horizon 4 (23rd to 11th), The Division 2 (25th to 12th), Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition (36th to 13th), and Sea of Thieves (38th to 19th). New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe continues to drop down the chart rapidly, falling from 15th to 31st, most likely due to the recent release of Super Mario Maker 2.
