Assassin’s Creed Odyssey gets Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece mode next week

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Discovery Tour mode is set to release next week. The mode was a new addition to the series, first appearing in Assassin’s Creed Origins, and it seems like the popularity of the mode has prompted Ubisoft to make the educational history lesson a feature in its latest game too.

Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece will launch on September 10, 2019 and is a free update for anyone that owns Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. If furthering your knowledge of the locations visited and characters met in Odyssey sounds like something that interests you, check out the preview trailer below:

For those unfamiliar, Discovery Tour allows players to explore the full map featured within the game without the distraction of quests and combat. It’s essentially a virtual museum, which gives players the ability to travel to 29 regions with over 300 educational stations found throughout the map.

These relaxing tours will take place in five different themes: philosophy, famous cities, daily life, war, and myths.

“History is your playground in Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece, where players can take guided tours or freely roam around the rich open world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey free of conflict and gameplay constraints.”

“It also exhibits new features that allow players to learn the way they want, with 35 unique avatars and 15 mounts that are accessible by progressing through objectives.” Read the official press release.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Discovery Tour will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC in a free update on 10th September.
