Apex Legends Season 3 is just a few days away, and Respawn Entertainment has got tongues wagging by revealing the biggest change to the game yet – a new map called World’s Edge.
The map was revealed in a cinematic trailer that was released earlier today, showing Legends doing battle across the fire-and-ice themed map where “molten heat and chemical ice collide”. Although we don’t see any gameplay footage of the map, the trailer does give us glimpses of snow-covered glaciers and a molten-filled volcanic area. Perhaps most exciting, however, is what appears to be a freight train for Legends to fight on. I’m presuming that this train will circle the map throughout matches in some way shape or form, which should provide some exciting sequences of play, especially if it holds some tasty loot to entice players aboard. The map looks a far cry from Kings Canyon and should hopefully provide some extra variety to Apex Legends. It’s good to see Respawn adding in a new map so soon into Apex Legends’ life cycle as they aim to keep the game fresh and exciting for players. As well as the new map, Season 3 will also see the introduction of the games new Legend, Crypto, who you can see in action during the trailer.
Apex Legends Season 3 will begin next week, on Tuesday 1st October.
