Luigi’s Mansion 3 – 9F gem locations and how to get them

There are six collectible gems on each floor in Luigi’s Mansion 3. In this guide, I’ll show you where to find all six gems on the 9F floor and tell you how to get your hands on them. You’ll need to unlock certain abilities before you’ll be able to collect some of these gems, so you may have to come back later on in the game.

Please note that some of the gems will appear clear rather than coloured in the screenshots seen below, this is because I had already collected them during my playthrough before creating this guide.

Gem #1 – Elevator Hall

As soon as you step out of the elevator you’ll see a desk straight in front of you. Use your vacuum on the chair and it will spin, and then the entire desk will flip over revealing a chest which contains the Red Gem.

Gem #2 – Elevator Hall

Follow the hallway around to the left and use your vacuum to suck up the flowers which are against the top right hand pillar, revealing a green light. Use your Strobulb on the light and a safe will appear on the wall facing you at the end of the hallway. Use your Strobulb on the safe and it will open and spit out the Blue Gem.

Gem #3 – Elevator Hall

Now you need a dinosaur bone, so you need to go and fight the boss if you haven’t so already. Once the boss is defeated, use your vacuum to suck up a dinosaur bone and then walk back from the boss room into the main hallway. As soon as you get back into the hallway, turn right and fire the bone into the first glass cabinet to break out the Yellow Gem.

Gem #4 – Elevator Hall

Suck the dinosaur bone up again and keep following the right hand hallway back down towards the elevator. Fire the bone into the bottom right glass cabinet and a ghost will appear. Defeat this ghost and you’ll be granted the Clear Gem.

Gem #5 – Elevator Hall

Pick up the bone again and head to the bottom left corner. Again, fire the bone into the glass cabinet and then use your Dark Light to make the Purple Gem appear.

Gem #6 – Elevator Hall

Finally, suck up the bone once more and head back towards the elevator. Fire the bone at the skeleton hanging above the elevator and it’ll crash to the floor, dropping the Green Gem.

And that’s it! Congratulations, you collected all six gems.
