Fortnite’s v7.20 Content Update is now live on all platforms, and it adds a new limited time mode as well as a new item known as the Sneaky Snowman.
The Sneaky Snowman is a common variant of loot that can be found from Floor Loot, Chests, and Supply Llamas. It drops in stacks of 5 and the max stack size that players can carry is 10. The Sneaky Snowman can be used in two ways; using it’s Primary Fire will throw it as a projectile, creating a destructible snowman that can act as a decoy, while Secondary Fire will allow the player to wear it as a disguise. These two fire modes mean that enemy players should approach Snowmen with some caution, not knowing whether it’s a decoy or a player laying in wait. The Sneaky Snowman has 100 health and will act as a shield when worn by a player. Movement is allowed while wearing the snowman as a disguise, but swapping to a different item or into building mode will destroy the snowman.
The new limited time mode, meanwhile, is the returning Sniper Shootout. As you can probably imagine (or remember), this mode will see players doing battle using nothing but scoped weapons. Floor loot is reduced by 50% and reviving teammates in Duos and Squads is deactivated. New features for the mode this time around see the addition of the Suppressed Sniper Rifle, and Legendary Scoped Pistols can now be found in Supply Drops.
Elsewhere in the update, the drop chance of both Shield Potions and Small Shield Potions has been reduced from both Floor Loot and in Chests, and vehicle spawn rates have also been reduced. As usual, a number of items are getting the vault treatment and have been shelved until further notice; this time around, the Quad Rocket Launcher, Port-A-fortress, and Grappler are the victims of the vault.
The Block has also been turned into Omega Pyramid, a massive structure created by Directingpete.
