Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has just been added to the Xbox Game Pass library along with Just Cause 3. Just Cause was already on the list of titles to be added (although it wasn’t expected to release until tomorrow), but there were no previous announcements regarding Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 being added to the Game Pass, so this is a lovely little surprise from Microsoft.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a somewhat hectic fighting game which was released way back in 2011 and was met with praise by both consumers and critics alike; don’t get this title confused with the less well received title ‘Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite’. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is like most other fighting games such as Mortal Kombat; it involves a lot of button bashing and is incredibly frustrating when your annoying little brother beats you by repeatedly hitting buttons and luckily pulling off moves. The game features regular 1v1 fights as well as tag team fights and, of course, it features all of the iconic Capcom and Marvel characters, such as the newly added characters Doctor Strange and Nemesis. In total, there are 50 characters to choose from.
As mentioned previously, Just Cause 3 is also available now to download for free on the Game Pass. Just Cause is an incredibly fun and sometimes terrifyingly stupid game that will keep you entertained for hours and will provide you with plenty of LOL and WTF moments.
Finally, Aftercharge also makes an appearance on the Game Pass. This lesser known game actually looks pretty fun, though I haven’t managed to play it yet, but the game description states that it’s a ‘3 vs 3 competitive game pitting invisible robots against an invincible security squad in high-octane tactical skirmishes’.
These are all great additions to the Game Pass which is becoming even better value for money. We recently announced that the Game Pass was our service of the year in our annual Buff Nerf Repeat awards and these new games reassures us that we made the correct decision.
