Rockstar have released a second gameplay trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2.
Squeezed into the four and a half minute long gameplay footage was a number of pursuits that players will be able to undertake. Most notably, one of my personal favourite gaming pastimes, fishing!
Also included in the trailer was footage of a large-scale bank heist initiated by Morgan and his mob, robbing trains and shops at gunpoint, as well as holding up stagecoaches and collecting debts aggressively as a loan shark.
Advice was given to those intending to travel the wilderness alone – beware of rival gangs and outlaws, who are all going to be different and deadly!
Other, less violent pastime activities include gambling via poker and games of dominos, and five finger fillet sees a welcome return. What western-themed game would be complete without these?
Red Dead Redemption’s time-slowing Dead Eye system was also shown again after initially being teased in the first gameplay trailer. This will see players mark enemies in slow-motion before firing off multiple shots to take them out. Rockstar have said that weak points on enemies will now be included but nothing else seems to have changed very much. This system was very simple to use in the last Red Dead, so we’re hoping for more depth to this system this time around.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on both Xbox One and Playstation 4 on 26th October 2018 and we really can’t wait. Don’t forget to clear a space for that whooping 105GB install at release.
