They Are Billions campaign mode will release on Tuesday 18th June

They Are Billions’ hotly anticipated campaign mode will be available on Tuesday 18th June, developer Numantian Games has announced.

The campaign is called The New Empire, and will focus on human kind venturing from behind their confined walls of safety to try and reclaim the world from the infected. Numantian is warning that the campaign is “addictive – really addictive”, and it will be available for free to all players who already own the game. Check out the trailer for the campaign below:

As for the games traditional Survival Mode, two new maps are being added to the game on Tuesday 18th June too. The first new map is called Deep Forest, and the fact that it’s the “most accessible” means that it will now be the first scenario available, so that players first experience with the game “is not so brutal”.

The second new map, The Caustic Lands, is the direct opposite of that. Numantian are describing it as “the hardest of all the maps” that is home to both the “most dangerous infected” and the “Doom Colony that can occupy up to 30% of the map”. Sounds like scary stuff.

Despite still being an Early Access game, They Are Billions has achieved great success since its launch in December 2017. The post-apocalyptic RTS currently has a “Very Positive” rating based on 12,057 reviews over on Steam, where you can currently pick up the game for £23.99 if you’re interested. Be warned, it’s very difficult and very addictive, so get ready to give up hours of your life.
