Three more NES games coming to Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo is continuing to add value for money to Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions, as three more NES games will be added to the library on Wednesday 14th November. Namely, those three games are Metroid, Mighty Bomb Jack and TwinBee.

Naturally, Metroid will be the standout name from that list. Debuting in 1986, Metroid follows the story of bounty hunter Samus Aran and has gone on to become one of Nintendo’s most successful franchises, with 14 games to date and a 15th—Metroid Prime 4—on the way. Mighty Bomb Jack is an arcade platformer and it was also released in 1986 and is the sequel to Bomb Jack (he’s just got a bit mightier), while TwinBee is a vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up by Konami (yes, them) that originally released in arcades back in 1985.

These new additions are all playable for nothing as long as you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, and they follow on from NES Open Tournament Golf, Solomon’s Key, Super Dodge Ball and the extra special surprise The Legend of Zelda SP, which were all added to the service last month.
