Tetris Effect

The Tetris Effect demo is available again this weekend

The demo for Tetris Effect on the PlayStation 4 is back this weekend, allowing gamers to play various stages from the excellent rhythmic version of the classic block puzzle game, Tetris.

This is the same demo as the one released by Enhanced Games before the full release of Tetris Effect. This time, the demo is being released in celebration of a successful year, with numerous GOTY awards and accolades being bestowed upon the highly-rated rhythmic puzzler. The weekend trial demo consists of three featured levels from Journey, which is the games main mode of play, as well as giving gamers the opportunity to sample a couple of the games ‘Effects’ modes.

Marathon Mode sees players attempt to clear 150 lines, while Mystery Mode is a more hectic game mode featuring screen flipping and random modifiers. Both of these modes are extremely fun and offer a fantastic example of what Tetris Effect has to offer.

As previously mentioned, this is a weekend only demo. You’ll have from the 8th to 11th February to give the demo a try, with a generous 25% off the digital version of the game being offered for those who enjoy the game enough to make a full purchase.

The demo will be fully playable in 2D, which includes 4k and HDR support for PS4 Pro users, as well as allowing PSVR users to experience the game in its true glory. Note that an online connection is required to play the demo, which is only present because of the weekend time restrictions and doesn’t feature in the full version of the game.

If you missed out on the previous release of this trial then we can’t recommended Tetris Effect highly enough. This is one of those games that you just have to experience for yourself.
