PUBG Mobile Passes 100 Million Downloads

PUBG Mobile Publisher Tencent Games have revealed that the game has surpassed 100 million downloads on iOS and Android. This news is quite impressive considering the games debut on smartphones and tablets was fewer than four months ago.

PUBG Mobile is a scaled-down version of the extremely popular PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, which released on PC via Steams early access beta program in March 2017, with a full release on December 20, 2017. That same month, the game was also released on Xbox One.

As well as releasing these impressive download figures, PUBG Mobile general manager Vincent Wang has stated that additional content is on it’s way.

“We will continue to set the bar for mobile gaming and look to deliver even more great content to our players later this year.”

This will come as welcome news to fans and should help boost in-game purchase sales. Spending on PUBG Mobile saw a 365-percent increase thanks to the launch of a premium progression pass that is popular in other battle royale shooters like Fortnite.
