Gearbox Software are teasing an announcement regarding the first true reveal of Borderlands 3.
That tease comes in the form of a not-very-subtle Twitter post, which features an image of a freeway exit sign with a date of March 28 and a location of Boston, MA, with the exit number marked as 3, all in very Borderlands-esque art style. Check it out below:

You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes (or Fox Mulder, depending on your detective of choice) to crack that code – March 28th and Boston, MA are both the date and the location of PAX East 2019. Gearbox are scheduled to hold their presentation on March 28th, so expect your official Borderlands 3 confirmation to come then.
Of course, Borderlands 3 is no real secret anyway – fans have been requesting it for a long time and Gearbox president Randy Pitchford has mentioned that they’re working on it before. Borderlands 2, the last numbered entry in the series, released a whole six years ago. Since then we’ve had Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, and Borderlands 2 VR, but fans are eager to get their hands on the next sequel. Expect more news later this month.
