Capcom Home Arcade

Capcom Home Arcade brings classic arcade gaming to the living room

First it was Nintendo, then Sega, and now Capcom has decided to bring some of its’s classic titles to a mini console.

Introducing the Capcom Home Arcade! Measuring a whopping 74cm x 22cm and 11cm high, this duel arcade stick monster is sure to be the centre piece of any retro gamers living room.

“CELEBRATING A TRUE CHAMPION OF ARCADE GAMING”
“Emblazoned with Capcom’s iconic duotone logo the Capcom Home Arcade delivers a classic single and multiplayer arcade gaming experience.”

From a style perspective this thing looks awesome and features some rather impressive competition-class Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT sticks as well as 8-way GT-Y directional gates and OBSF buttons. Now, to be honest, I have no idea what that means, but it sure sounds good!

The Home Arcade will come with 16 classic games from the original Capcom CPS1 and CPS2 arcade ROMs. These 90’s titles can be played in single-player or by teaming up with friends in both co-op and head to head multiplayer. High scores can be uploaded to the Worldwide High Score Leaderboard via the systems WiFi.

Here’s the list of all 16 games that will feature on the Home Arcade:

  • Alien™ vs Predator™
  • Armored Warriors™
  • Capcom Sports Club™
  • Captain Commando™
  • Cyberbots™: Fullmetal Madness
  • Darkstalkers™: The Night Warriors
  • Eco Fighters™
  • Final Fight™
  • Ghouls ‘n Ghosts™
  • Giga Wing™
  • Street Fighter™ II: Hyper Fighting
  • Mega Man: The Power Battle™
  • Progear™

Capcom Home Arcade

As expected, a system of this size has a rather large price tag. The Capcom Home Arcade will set you back a staggering €229.99, which equates to roughly $260/£200. That’s a pretty large price tag when compared to the other retro consoles on the market. You get what you pay for however, and this will no doubt be the most premium way to enjoy retro gaming when it releases on Friday 25th October in Europe.

Interested? The Home Arcade is available now to pre-order now on the Capcom website.
