Bulletstorm is coming to the Nintendo Switch

I feel like Nintendo are on a mission to bring every game that has ever released to the Nintendo Switch, and Bulletstorm is the latest addition to the long list of games that have made it to Ninty’s console.

Bulletstorm first released all the way back in 2011 on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, but Gearbox Software brought the game to the current generation of consoles with 2017’s Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, which remastered the game to bring it up to today’s standard. It’s that version of the game that is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year, and it’s coming bundled with Duke Nukem as a playable character, a feature that was added to the remastered edition as DLC on other platforms. Because of Duke’s addition by default, the Switch version of the game is named Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition. Just to get you in the mood you can watch the original debut trailer for the Full Clip Edition below, from all the way back at The Game Awards 2016!

It’s great that Nintendo is working so hard to bring more and more games to the Nintendo Switch, but it’s a shame that Nintendo players always seem to have to wait so much longer than their Xbox and PlayStation counterparts. Still, Nintendo should be praised for their hard work in opening up more and more franchises to Nintendo players, something that they seem to have taken to the next level with the Switch.

Bulletstorm: Duke of the Switch Edition will release in Summer 2019, although no release date has been set yet. In the meantime, I’m off to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I’m all outta gum.
