Blood & Truth becomes first VR game to hit the top of the charts

Blood & Truth has made history by becoming the first VR title ever to hit the top of the physical UK sales charts.

It’s a great achievement for the cockney caper that released for PSVR last week. It didn’t have much competition in the way of new releases, but Blood & Truth has still received much more attention than VR games usually get and it has received decent reviews too, making it a resounding success for Sony.

Elsewhere in the charts, FIFA 19 has gained a place from last week as it jumps from third into second, most probably due to the Europa League and Champions League finals taking place during the week. Last weeks top spot holder, Team Sonic Racing, has fallen a couple of places into third, and PS4 exclusive Days Gone also drops two places into fourth.

Regular charter Red Dead Redemption 2 has held firm, maintaining its hold on fifth position, and Cricket 19: Official Game Of The Ashes is another new release that debuts in the top 10, taking sixth place. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also gains a position this week as it lifts into seventh, and Grand Theft Auto V and Forza Horizon 4 do the same, climbing into eighth and ninth respectively. Mortal Kombat 11 suffer as it drops three places, rounding out the top 10.

Outside of the top 10, Rage 2 is a big sufferer as it drops from fourth all the way to thirteenth, and The Division 2 also drops out of the top 10 as it tumbles from sixth to eleventh.
