Xbox Live’s Games with Gold for September Announced

As another new month approaches, so does another new selection of free games.

Microsoft has announced September’s lineup for Games with Gold and it’s a list that a lot of people may feel underwhelmed by on first glance, but we encourage you to give these freebies a chance as you may find yourself pleasantly surprised.

First up on the Xbox One we have Prison Architect, Introversion Software’s construction and management simulation game that allows you to design, build and manage your very own maximum security prison. Prison Architect was first released in full on PC back in 2015 and found its way onto the Xbox a year later; the game was well received by critics on release and even won a BAFTA in 2016 in the Persistant Game category.

Second up on the Xbox One is Livelock, a co-operative top-down shooter by Perfect World Entertainment. Released in August 2016, Livelock was also well received by critics and is a great game to play with friends. Think Diablo, but with guns.

Over on the Xbox 360 side of things, you can pick up LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars and Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World which contains Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Monster World IV.

The dates for each are as follows:

Prison Architect – September 1-30 on Xbox One
Livelock – September 16-October 15 on Xbox One
LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars – September 1-15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World – September 16-30 on Xbox One and Xbox 360

As a side note to all of you freebie fans out there, don’t forget that ‘For Honor’ is still available for nothing until September 15th as part of August’s Games with Gold.
