Tonight’s Nintendo Direct presentation revealed that a demo for Yoshi’s Crafted World will be available tomorrow (or later today, depending where you live) on the Nintendo eShop ahead of the games March release.
The demo will allow players to take on the games first course, and the footage shown also revealed that Yoshi will be able to use cardboard to make costumes that function as armour for everybodies favourite green dinosaur. You can check out the footage that was shown in the video below, which should take you directly to the section of the presentation that’s relevant to Yoshi’s Crafted World. In the footage, we see Yoshi rafting, racing, flying a plane, and wearing one of the aforementioned costumes.
Yoshi’s Crafted World is an original game that is being developed by Good-Feel exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. It will be the eight entry in the Yoshi series of games following 2015’s Yoshi’s Wooly World which was a spiritual successor to Kirby’s Epic Yarn. Yoshi’s Crafted World will take place in “a world made of everyday objects—like boxes and paper cups!”. As Yoshi, you’ll be able to solve puzzles, gulp down enemies, collect eggs, and do all the other things that Yoshi usually does. Players will also be able to play each level backwards to find new hidden items, and there will also be a new co-op mode.
Yoshi’s Crafted World will release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on Friday 29th March 2019.
