Watch Dogs: Legion will release in March 2020 and is set in London

Fackin’ ell, I’ve got some bloody good news for you mate. Watch Dogs: Legion is set in London, and it’s releasing in March 2020.

Ubisoft officially announced the game during their E3 briefing tonight, confirming that the game will take place in a “post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes”. You have to recruit characters to build a resistance to try and restore society to its former glory. This is where Watch Dogs: Legion gets interesting – Ubisoft claims that you can recruit and play as any NPC in the game world, all of which have their own voice, animations, back story, character traits, and origin mission. That sounds ridiculously ambitious to me, so I would take that with a pinch of salt.

We did get an extended gameplay trailer that showed off the game in action. It gave us a look at various aspects of the game, including shooting, cover mechanics, driving, hacking, and stealth. There were cockney accents galore, and the word “bloody” was used more times than I dare to count (we don’t say it that often, honestly!). It looks delightfully tongue-in-cheek with a great sense of humour, and a variety of characters were shown. The star of the show was undoubtedly the 78-year old Helen Dashwood who we saw infiltrating Scotland Yard and beating the hell out of some young whippersnappers. Check out the video below:

If you can’t be bothered to sit and watch a ten minute video, then first of all how lazy are you? But secondly, here’s a shorter reveal trailer for you:

Watch Dogs: Legion will release on Friday 6th March 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
